Williamson River

The Williamson River is a spring fed river, once the spring runoff is over, it runs crystal clear for the summer. It's open to artificial only catch and release fishing late May - end of October. As the the summer heat warms Upper Klamath Lake large Rainbow Trout migrate out of the lake in search of cooler water. As a result, fishing begins to pick up as the summer heat increases. Once July rolls in, the river is full of fish and will stay that way until the fall rains arrive. Most fish run in the 18-24" range  with legitimate chances to catch wild Rainbows 10+ lbs. Crystal clear water and big fish!
